Skaši was brought up in the Scandinavian peninsula by her mother and father. Her parents travelled in the frozen north of Europe out of necessity rather than choice. They lived free, and without deception but they did not live honestly and that was how Skaši was brought up. The family survived of what they could forage and find and what others were not strong enough to protect. Most honest folk thought of them as bandits and that sort of reputation attracts that sort of person. Soon there were plenty of 'friends', and that took the Skaši's parents down a more criminal route that they'd have liked. The more criminal the activity the more those in authority like to crack down on it and eventually someone betrayed the group to save their own skin. Many arrests where made, Skaši and her sister Geršr managed to escape and managed to make of with a few weapons in the process. Now on her own, Skaši had to look for work. Luckily there are plenty of jobs open for someone strong and not afraid to hurt people for cash. Some might think themselves down on their luck to have to resort to being hired as a thug, Skaši was happy she found a well paying job she could do well. Being able to follow orders and not caring who was offended and who was hurt made Skaši popular with her boss, but not so much with her peers. Alex Weiß took offence when Skaši got aggressive because Alex was unwilling to take a risk he thought unnecessary. Alex backed down, but she is sure that if they met again and Alex had the numbers he'd like to get even. The organisation Skaši worked for seemed to possess much hidden depth. While at first she was doing odd jobs for low lives to pay the bills she soon became involved with a higher class of criminal and met John Taylor in the process. Skadi grew fond of John and while she was sure that he only had his own interests at heart began to think of him has family. He helped her through her rehab after the cataclysmic revelation of her addiction to a cocktail of drugs which she had first started as an easily available supplement which aided her performance on the job. She also believes he was responsible for the replacement arm she was given when she lost her natural one during a particularly bloody hit. That hit in question was an assassination of a local person who was attempting to gather public support against criminal activities. Something many have tried before, but it was the way he attacked crime on a personal level that good people offended. Someone had tipped off the authorities and they knew she was coming though. She still managed to kill the guy, but lost her arm in the process. The investigation, aided by the biological evidence left behind means there are still quite a few law enforcement agencies that would like to take "The Viking" in for questioning. While avoiding the law on her back, Skaši hasn't even noticed one of her associates Sophia Carlos is plotting her ruin and Sophia is quite sly and devious.
